Free intro class 23rd April

I’m a friendly, encouraging and patient Pilates teacher who is passionate about movement and whole body & mind well-being. I originally trained as a Physiotherapist in the Netherlands and now work as a Pilates Matwork teacher, movement & FRC mobility coach in the Hastings area. I am also soon to be a qualified Shiatsu Therapist and Qi-Gong teacher.

I offer small in-person and online group classes in a fun and motivating environment. This means I can give everyone the attention they deserve to get the most out of their practice. As a Pilates and movement coach I strive to support, educate and challenge you. I give you the tools to become more aware of your posture and movement so you will leave your class energised, moving better and feeling better.

I love the accessibility and inclusivity of Pilates matwork as it can be done anywhere without any equipment, even without a mat!. This makes them very effective methods to form part of a daily practise to improve movement, mobility and feel better in your body and mind.

Please drop me an email or give me a ring to discuss your reasons for wanting to start Pilates. We can then start the journey towards your goals together. I look forward to meeting you!

Ps: I have a discount code for key workers and concessions are available if my prices don’t work for you, please get in touch before booking your class.

Hatha Yoga with Louise

Hatha Yoga with Louise

I am continuing to offer weekly sessions based on Hatha yoga influenced by the practice of Vanda Scaravelli. Practice is gentle and supportive and focuses on using the breath and gravity to lengthen and free the spine.

The sessions are suitable for all as I encourage everyone to practice at their own pace by working mindfully and listening to what their body is saying.

I have the British Wheel of Yoga teachers’ qualification and I travelled to Kerala in India to gain a further teachers’ qualification. I have continued my training whilst teaching and followed my interest in teaching on a one to one basis in a therapeutic way. I recently attended Gary Carter’s sessions on understanding fascia and movement.

About the yoga classes:

 – come along and benefit from a yoga session including  asana (poses), pranayama (controlled breathing) and relaxation.

You will need to bring a yoga mat and equipment such as blanket and belt. If this isn’t possible I can provide these if you let me know. Also be sure to wear comfortable layered clothes so that you can move easily and keep at the right temperature.
